1976 Porsche 912E
This rare 1976 Porsche 912E is now for sale on consignment. The car in question is one of approximately 2,100 produced for a single model year and was acquired by the seller in 2015. Originally a silver metallic, now painted metallic blue. This car participated in the 22nd annual Hill Country Rallye in Kerrville, TX, and kept up with the 911s on the twisties.
With 156,000 miles on the odometer (the odometer gear is broken), this 912E is being sold with a clean Texas title in the seller’s name. It is road-ready with less than 2,000 miles since its refurbishment. The goal of the refurbishment was to make the car a daily driver that could withstand the brutal Texas heat. Adding an oil cooler with a thermostat and electric fan, and vintage A/C did just that! This 912E is happy cruising on highways and backroads with the driver and passenger behind the dash.
Refurbishment highlights: • Engine rebuilt with forged internals and stroked to 2.2L • Transmission rebuilt by Werks11 of Troy, TX • Injection system with wasted spark crank trigger ignition by the Dub Shop of Monroe, WA • Classic Auto Air climate control professionally installed • Dyno tested at 120Hp/145ft-lbs of torque to the wheels • Hidden oil cooler with thermostat and electric fan • 16” Fuchs • Many other new parts • Matching numbers original drivetrain
