Gezellig. It's one of those words that just can't be translated. It's also the heart of Dutch culture. Watching a movie at home while it's raining is gezellig. Going out with friends to the little pub down the street for a drink is gezellig. A gezellig room has lots of candles and plants and pictures on the wall and music playing in the background. Catching up over coffee is gezellig. Cozy doesn't capture it, but it's a start. It's a general yet abstract sense of overall well being, that you usually share with others. You know it when you feel it.
In case you were wondering why we're called the Dutch Safari Company, it's because we've got Dutch roots. Our first buying trips over to Europe to get Land Rovers were always spent in Holland, staying with family. Gezellig.
